This Booking Policy explains how booking, confirmation, payment, cancellations, and responsibilities operate on the Ego Events Media Group (“The Ego”) platform.
By making a booking, you agree to the terms below.
1. Nature of Booking Through the Platform
Bookings made on The Ego are transactions between the Client and the Vendor.
The Ego acts only as a digital intermediary.
The Ego does NOT:
- provide the vendor services
- guarantee vendor availability
- guarantee vendor performance
- enter into the service contract
- act as agent or representative for Vendors
2. Booking Types
Vendors may select one of the following booking models for their services:
A) Instant Booking
- Booking is automatically confirmed upon payment.
B) Approval-Based Booking (“Request to Book”)
- Vendor must manually accept the booking request.
- Until accepted, the request is not a binding confirmation.
If the Vendor does not approve within the vendor-defined time frame,
the request may be considered expired or cancelled.
3. Payment Authorization & Processing
Payments are processed via WooCommerce or integrated gateways.
Depending on vendor settings:
1️⃣ Payment may be collected immediately, OR
2️⃣ Payment may be pre-authorized (blocked), OR
3️⃣ Payment may be requested only after Vendor confirms booking.
The Ego does not store payment card details.
4. Pricing Currency & Billing Responsibility
Prices are displayed in EUR by default for standardization and clarity.
Each Vendor invoices Clients independently, in the currency defined by the Vendor, according to applicable fiscal rules.
The Ego is not responsible for:
- tax calculation for Vendor services
- VAT obligations of Vendors
- issuance of invoices by Vendors
5. Vendor Responsibility for Service Delivery
Vendor is solely responsible for:
- timely communication with Client
- confirmation or rejection of booking
- fulfillment of services
- accuracy of service description
- honoring the booked service
Vendor bears full contractual responsibility.
6. Client Responsibility
Clients agree to:
- provide accurate booking information
- respect vendor cancellation policies
- communicate in good faith
- not use bookings fraudulently
7. Cancellations and Refunds
Each Vendor establishes their own:
- cancellation terms
- refund conditions
- refund amounts
- time limits
- grace periods
The Ego:
- does not manage refunds
- does not refund on behalf of Vendors
- is not responsible for Vendor-Client refund disputes
Refund requests must be addressed directly to Vendor.
8. Booking Modifications
Modifications to a booking (date, service details, etc.):
- require Vendor approval
- are not guaranteed
- may affect price
- may affect cancellation policy
9. Non-Appearance / No-Show
If a Client fails to appear for a booked service:
- Vendor may treat this as a cancellation by the Client
- Refund rules depend on Vendor policy
The Ego is not responsible for no-show consequences.
10. Service Failure or Dissatisfaction
If a Vendor fails to provide the service:
- the dispute must be resolved between Client and Vendor
- The Ego is not liable for service failure
- The Ego may assist with communication only
11. Fraud, Abuse, or Misuse of Bookings
The Ego reserves the right to:
- cancel suspicious bookings
- suspend user accounts
- require identity verification
- prevent fraudulent activity
12. Platform Rights
The Ego may:
- monitor bookings for compliance
- intervene in cases of abuse
- suspend system access
- remove Vendors with repeated complaints
This is at the platform’s discretion.
13. Legal Standing of Bookings
A booking constitutes a legal agreement:
- between Client and Vendor
- NOT between Client and The Ego
- NOT between Vendor and The Ego
14. Jurisdiction
Disputes related to service fulfillment fall under Vendor–Client jurisdiction.
Disputes involving the platform are governed by Romanian law, under Romanian courts.
