By using the Ego Events Media Group (“The Ego”) platform, you acknowledge and agree to the following limitations of liability.
1. Platform Role Clarification
The Ego operates solely as an intermediary marketplace and booking facilitator.
The Ego:
- does not provide the services listed by vendors
- does not control vendor availability, performance, or quality
- is not a contracting party between vendors and clients
All contractual and service-related obligations are exclusively between Vendor and Client.
2. No Liability for Vendor Services
The Ego is not liable for:
- the quality of vendor services
- timeliness or execution
- cancellations or rescheduling
- accuracy of vendor descriptions
- compliance with local legislation by vendors
- damages arising from vendor behavior or actions
- misleading or incomplete information provided by vendors
Vendors are independent providers and bear full responsibility for their services.
3. No Liability for Booking Outcomes
The Ego shall not be held responsible for:
- failure of vendors to honor bookings
- errors in availability calendars
- incorrect date or time selection by users
- event-related losses or dissatisfaction
- force majeure affecting vendor performance
The Client accepts that all bookings are at their own risk regarding vendor delivery.
4. Payment & Refund Limitations
The Ego:
- does not issue refunds from its funds
- does not control vendor refund policies
- does not guarantee vendor reimbursement
- does not assume financial responsibility for vendor decisions
All refund-related matters are governed by the Vendor’s stated policy.
5. No Warranty of Accuracy or Reliability
The Ego does not guarantee that:
- vendor information is accurate
- listings are current
- availability is correctly displayed
- reviews reflect true experiences
- communication is error-free
- the platform is continuously operating without interruption
All platform content is provided “as is” and “as available.”
6. Technical Limitations
The Ego is not responsible for:
- software bugs
- maintenance downtime
- security breaches not caused by negligence
- server issues
- interruptions due to ISP or hosting failures
- third-party integrations (WooCommerce, Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
We strive for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted functionality.
7. No Liability for User Behavior
The Ego is not liable for:
- actions of platform users
- inappropriate communication
- fraudulent identity claims
- bad-faith transactions
- defamatory reviews
Each user is solely responsible for their conduct.
8. Limitation of Damages
To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Ego shall not be liable for:
- lost profits
- business interruption
- reputational damage
- indirect or consequential damages
- loss of data
- emotional or psychological damages
- penalties or compensation claims against vendors
Total liability, if ever applicable, shall not exceed the total platform membership fee paid to The Ego in the last 12 months.
9. Force Majeure
The Ego shall not be liable for failures caused by:
- natural disasters
- pandemics
- governmental actions
- war or civil unrest
- communication failures
- supply chain disruptions
10. Legal Jurisdiction
This Limitation of Liability is governed under Romanian law.
Any legal proceedings shall be handled in the competent courts of Romania.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By using this platform, you acknowledge that you:
- understand The Ego’s neutral role
- accept vendor responsibility
- accept booking responsibility
- assume all risks associated with vendor performance
If you do not agree with these terms, you must stop using the platform.
